The Autocar Performance Show is right around the corner and the Maruti Suzuki Autocross will add to the high-adrenaline theme of India’s most exciting car and bike show. The Maruti Suzuki autocross competition being held as a part of the Autocar Performance Show at Bandra-Kurla Complex in Mumbai from17 to 20 November 2011.
For the uninitiated, autocross is the most popular grass root motorsport around the globe, being an inexpensive way to get started in competition.
The potential for car damage is almost none, thanks to low speeds, lack of physical obstacles and other cars on track. Anyone who wants to participate can do so in normal road cars with first-timers competing against other novice drivers while professionals can compete in a separate category.
The Maruti Suzuki Autocross will offer enthusiasts an opportunity to experience the thrill of competition and push their cars to the limit in a safe, controlled environment.

17th November, 2011:-1100 – 1400 hours
Press, Media & VIP viewing. Free participation.
1500 – 1730 hours
1-2 laps by walk-in participants in their own cars, on a first-come-first-served basis.
Fee: Rs. 200/-
Winners will receive a certificate and prize.
18th November, 2011:-1100 – 1730 hours
Continuation of previous day’s activities.
19th & 20th November, 2011:-1100 – 1700 hours
Qualifying and Semi-Final elimination rounds and Finals.
Rs. 500/- for qualifying rounds and Rs. 500/- for subsequent rounds.
